About HypnoNews
Our mission
Hypnotherapy is one of the most researched complementary therapies in modern psychology — yet finding reliable, unbiased information about it remains surprisingly difficult. Most online resources are either outdated, commercially motivated without disclosure, or lacking any scientific foundation.
HypnoNews exists to change that. We are an independent editorial platform dedicated to making hypnotherapy research accessible, honest, and practical. Every guide, review, and recommendation on this site is grounded in peer-reviewed clinical evidence and reviewed by qualified health professionals.
Our goal is simple: help you make informed decisions about hypnotherapy — whether you’re exploring it for the first time, comparing apps, or looking for evidence on a specific condition.
Our expert team
Our content is created by health writers who specialize in evidence-based wellness content. Every article carries a named author, and every clinical claim is verified against peer-reviewed research.
Expert review panel — Coming soon
We are actively building a panel of certified hypnotherapists and licensed mental health professionals to serve as expert reviewers. Until then, every clinical claim on HypnoNews is verified against peer-reviewed literature from PubMed, Cochrane Library, and official health body guidelines.
If you are a certified hypnotherapist, clinical psychologist, or health researcher interested in joining our review panel, contact us.
How we create our content
Every article on HypnoNews goes through a structured editorial process designed to ensure accuracy, transparency, and real-world usefulness.
Step 1: Research and planning. We identify topics based on search demand, clinical relevance, and gaps in existing online coverage. Every article begins with a review of current peer-reviewed literature from databases including PubMed, Cochrane Library, and APA PsycNet.
Step 2: Expert drafting. Content is written by our editorial team — health writers with subject matter expertise — using our editorial guidelines as the quality standard. Medical and therapeutic claims are sourced inline.
Step 3: Source verification. Every clinical claim is cross-referenced against peer-reviewed literature from PubMed, Cochrane Library, and official health body publications (NHS, APA, WHO). Claims that cannot be substantiated are removed or reworded.
Step 4: Publication and updates. Every article displays its publication date and a “Last updated” badge. We revisit and update content regularly — particularly product reviews and research summaries — to reflect new evidence and pricing changes.
How we review products
When we review hypnotherapy apps and tools, we follow a consistent, transparent methodology:
Independent testing. We personally use every app for a minimum of four weeks before publishing a review. We pay for subscriptions with our own funds.
Structured evaluation. We assess each product on five criteria: scientific backing (25%), effectiveness based on personal testing (25%), usability (20%), value for money (15%), and customer support (15%).
Honest ratings. Our ratings are editorial judgments, not pay-for-play. No company can pay to improve their score or placement in our rankings.
No commercial relationships. HypnoNews is currently not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any product we review. All links to products are standard editorial links — not affiliate or tracking links. If this changes in the future, it will be disclosed on our editorial guidelines page and on every affected article.
Our editorial standards
We hold ourselves to strict editorial principles, particularly because hypnotherapy falls under health and wellness — a category Google classifies as YMYL (Your Money or Your Life):
Evidence-based claims only. We never use language like “cure,” “guarantee,” or “proven to fix.” Hypnotherapy is a complementary therapy supported by research — not a medical cure. We use phrases like “research suggests,” “studies indicate,” and “evidence shows.”
Cited sources. Every medical or therapeutic claim links to its source — typically a peer-reviewed study (PubMed, Cochrane), a clinical guideline (NHS, APA), or an official health organization statement.
Clear disclosures. Affiliate relationships, sponsored content (if any), and potential conflicts of interest are always disclosed prominently.
Corrections policy. If we get something wrong, we correct it openly. Material corrections are noted at the top of the article with the date of the update.
